We are happy to present you a unique, boutique Israeli wine The Cave Old Vines produced from Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a branded, or project wine, where the authors try to do something contrary to the rules. Their result deserves recognition as a resounding success.

Grapes for this wine are harvested in a vineyard planted in the early 1980s in the vicinity of Kerem-Ben-Zimra in Upper Galilee (Northern Israel). Thanks to the area’s terroir, the wine has a decent maturity and minerality.

Many years of professional care have grown the winery Cave Old Vines into a veritable garden of old vines producing harvests that are ideal for this magnificent wine. A striking combination of grape age, the correct harvesting time, carefully controlled technological processes and 24 months of ageing in new French oak barrels in the cellar work together to produce a truly spectacular boutique collection wine.

The wine Cave Old Vines is worth remembering, and if added to your wine gallery, will bring an enjoyable and joyful experience as a collector in acquiring yet another valuable item.

Wine-tasting notes

The wine demonstrates a rich nose and palate with shades of blackberries, plums and black cherries, and earthy notes of wood and cloves. The pleasant notes of sweet oak, resin and acid combine seamlessly with harmonious yet powerful tannins, bringing forth a deep, complex and rich wine with a long and gentle aftertaste. You can enjoy this wine The Cave Old Vines today, but it gets even more wonderful after several years of maturation.
