        Côte Chalonnaise

Côte Chalonnaise is one of the most beautiful vineyards in
Burgundy. It produces a wide range of white, rosé, and red wine,
as well as sparkling crémants (in 1822, it created the first sparkling
white wine in Burgundy). Its wines are mostly made from Pinot Noir,
Chardonnay, and Aligoté grapes. Many wines are produced under
the regional appellations Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise and
        Bourgogne Côte du Couchois.

        Mâconnai

Mâconnai is the southernmost and largest wine-growing
subregion in Burgundy. It owes its winemaking traditions to the
Benedictine monks from the Cluny Abbey, founded in 909 by the
Duke of Aquitaine, Guillaume I the Pious. It mainly produces white
wines, with Chardonnay occupying about 80% of all the
vineyards in the region. One of the most popular French white
wines originates from the communal appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé.
The appellation was founded in 1936 and is composed of the
vineyards of four communes: Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson, Chartreuse de Champmol (Champol Monastery)
