Jamaica Blue Mountain. Royal Coffee from Jamaica
Jamaica Blue Mountain is one of the most sophisticated beverages in the world, and drinkers hesitates even referring to it is as «coffee» in our traditional understanding of the word. It’s a very balanced variety of coffee with a high nutritional value for human health.
This sophisticated coffee is produced in small lots, and has an excellent reputation for its delicate taste and special aroma. Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is one of the world’s most exclusive brands. Its unique qualities transform it into one of the most sought-after and expensive coffee varieties. But despite its widespread notoriety, this coffee is quite rare. It grows on the slopes of the Blue Mountains in Jamaica, 1,200-2,000 meters above sea level.
Up to 80% of this coffee is exported to Japan, where Japanese businessmen and the upper echelon of society highly appreciate its quality. The coffee’s amazing taste is thanks partially to the fact that mango and papaya trees grow around Jamaica’s Blue Mountain plantations. The Japanese consider such places to be rich in volcanic minerals, and the numerous mineral springs dotting the nearby small plantations for this coffee only prove to corroborate this theory.
We should also mention that Jamaica Blue Mountain is closely associated with Rastafari culture, which has made this island famous the world over. Many islanders believe in the divine origin of Ethiopian ruler Ras Tafari Makonnen, who was a symbol of the union of nations descended from sacred Mount Zion and scattered throughout the world. This coffee was a particular favorite of singer Bob Marley, the author of the James Bond books Ian Fleming, composer Giacomo Puccini and many other famous people.
Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee, with its delicate taste and bright fruity flavor without a hint of bitterness, is a perfect choice for true lovers of exquisite taste.
